Purpose of the Course: To prepare participants with knowledge, skills and attitude required to monitor rubber deposits on runway and apply appropriate removal methods to maintain requisite friction level in accordance with ICAO Annex-14, ICAO DOC9137 (Airport Services Manual)- & ICAO Circulars. Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of the course, the participants will be able to: Appreciate importance of Runway Rubber Removal for safety of Operation Initiate suitable NOTAM action Measure friction value of the runway surface Identify low friction areas Take appropriate rubber removal measures Target Population: Civil Engineers, Terminal/Operation Managers, Architects/Planners, Project Engineers, ATCOs, Safety Manager, Aerodrome Inspectors/Auditors , Pilots and other Aviation stakeholders, Airside Maintenance Contractors
