Purpose of the Course: The Aviation Law course aims to enable Airport Personnel to support their organization in compliance with international air law, through application of appropriate knowledge and advocacy. It provides an overview on aviation law by explaining why there is a need of having it and which are the main documents on which this was built. Training will explore the nine freedoms of air, Warsaw System and Chicago Convention and it will be able to distinguish between safety, security, measures to tackle each one and also expand participant’s knowledge on liability in international law. Learning Objectives: Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to accomplish the following: Explain the need for international aviation law List the major provisions of the Warsaw System State the purpose of the Chicago Convention Describe the nine Freedoms of the Air Describe the purpose and the organizational structure of ICAO/DGCA Liability Target Population: For AAI-Jr Executive and above but up to Jt.GM Level from Operations, ATM, CNS, Engineering and Planning For others- Middle management level personnel
